Excess heat between 105°C and 135°C can be used to power an E-RATIONAL high temperature ORC. Condensing low pressure waste steam is one of the many applications. Higher efficiencies can be obtained by using extra internal heat exchangers.

This machine type ideally works with a cooling circuit at temperatures higher than 30°C to 40°C. According to the temperatures at the hot water circuit, the cooling water can be increased to 50°C and even 70°C. These temperatures are ideal for low temperature heating purposes, such as drying, floor heating, ... E-RATIONAL can advise on choosing the best cooling conditions regarding efficiency, space capacity on-site, consumed electricity of the cooling circuit and ambient temperature conditions. Namely, for some applications, it is recommended to select higher cooling water temperatures to reduce the consumption of the cooler or reduce the required space for installation of the cooler.

Depending on the temperature difference between the heating circuit and the cooling circuit, the E-RATIONAL ORC HT can be equipped with extra heat exchangers for internal heat recovery, resulting in an elevated efficiency of the machine.

The working fluid of the E-RATIONAL ORC HT has no Ozon Depletion Potential (ODP) and a negligible Global Warming Potential (GWP) compliant to the newest European F-Gas Regulation.
